Grocer-ease

Grocery store-delivery app design

The grocery store-delivery app Grocer-ease, was in need of an experience that would span from order confirmation through post-delivery. This flow needed to support deliveries for orders from multiple grocery store locations, as well as order tracking, order review, and post-delivery follow-ups.

Responsibilities: UX Research & Design

Methodology

A competitive analysis was conducted in order to gain a better understanding of this type of delivery app service, as well as to identify areas of opportunities.

User insights were identified through analyzing user feedback on grocery/food delivery apps.

This research helped formulate requirements for each step in the flow, which provided direction for the design exploration process.

Design

Considerations for this design, included the ability to support deliveries for orders with multiple grocery stores, as well as a progressive order tracking feature. After the direction of the design was refined, a wireframe flow from the order confirmation through post-delivery was created. From there, a low-fidelity mock was designed – focusing on the order tracking flow from order preparation to order arrival.

An order status overlay provides the user with live status updates. ‘Track order’ allows the user to see additional details on the Track Order page. The timeline and push notifications continuously updates during the driver's journey.

This page also gives the user options to contact the driver through the ‘Help’ link, see order details, and track the driver on a map view.
